The Details & Getting Ready For Their Detroit Michigan Wedding
Emily and Teddy both got ready separately for their Detroit wedding day. Jam Handy wedding venue is spacious and has such beautiful spaces to get ready in with tons of lush greenery. Emily shared an emotional first look with her father which was so sweet to capture.
Emily + Teddy’s First Looks Outside of Jam Handy Wedding Venue in Detroit
I especially loved Emily and Teddy’s first looks outside of Jam Handy. You can just see how in awe Teddy was of Emily. It was so sweet. Emily also gave Teddy the most heartfelt gift, which was a photo of his father. It had us ALL crying! When you’re around these two, you can just feel the love that they have for one another.
Wedding Party Portraits & Couples Portraits AT FISHER BUILDING
After Emily and Teddy shared their first looks, we hopped on a party bus with them and their wedding party for portraits at Fisher Building! This building is stunning and the Grand Arcade has the most beautiful architecture, moody lighting, and high ceilings. It was such a great choice to come to another location to get a variety of different portraits.
Wedding Party Portraits & Couples Portraits at Detroit Institute of Arts Museum
After portraits at Fisher Building, we then headed to Detroit Institute of Arts Museum to get more wedding party and couple portraits against the backdrop of the building. DIA features classical white stone walls with tall arched openings and beautiful lantern fixtures with a balcony overhead. It was another location that just added so much to their portrait’s!
We then hopped back on the party bus to head back over to Jam Handy wedding venue for their ceremony and reception to follow!
eMILY + tEDDY’S Jam Handy Wedding Ceremony in Detroit
The space for Emily and Teddy’s ceremony was very open and inviting. They had minimal decor which was perfect as the venue itself is already stunning. After their ceremony they headed up to sign their marriage license and had toasts with their officiant and watched overhead as their wedding guests enjoyed each others company before their reception entrance.
An Indoor Jam Handy Wedding Reception in Detroit, Michigan
Emily and Teddy’s Jam Handy wedding reception was gorgeous! I love Jam Handy’s industrial style, and their reception decor perfectly complimented the venue with the amber color schemes, greenery, and the string lights above head which added warmth to the space.
Emily’s father and Teddy’s mother both gave beautiful speeches and Teddy himself gave a speech telling everyone how grateful he was for everyone in the room. It was so special. After speeches, we snuck out to get a few more portraits outside before dusk.
Overall this Jam Handy wedding was perfect, and it was such an honor to be their Detroit wedding photographer!
