I love Marquette, so when Mackenzie and Kenton reached out to me for their Marquette Michigan engagement photos, I was SO EXCITED! Marquette is just a gem of a location in the Upper Peninsula when it comes to beautiful backdrops and hiking opportunities. For Mackenzie and Kenton, we split their session into two parts. We knew it was going to snow the next morning, so we came back the next day to get some romantic shots in the snowfall, and it was so worth it!

Marquette is also a great location for elopements. You can truly plan the most intimate elopement with epic views. And if you live in Michigan, you don’t have to travel far which is such a plus!

Marquette Michigan Engagement Photos at Black Rocks

The first part of their session was spent exploring around the Black Rocks in Marquette. This location is beautiful! They brought their cute pup with them who really enjoyed exploring.

From skipping rocks into Lake Superior, walking the shoreline, piggyback rides, and just taking in the beautiful views together. February in Northern Michigan is chilly, especially by the water, but so worth it for these gorgeous views!

Mackenzie +Kenton’s Snowy Marquette Michigan Engagement Photos

The next morning we met up again because we knew it would snow, and it was such a good idea! On the way we grabbed some coffee and then came to this beautiful open field where Mackenzie and Kenton ran around in the snow along with their pup! They then sat on the back of their truck bed and sipped on some coffee from Cruisin’ while stealing kisses from one another.

This was a perfect Michigan engagement session, and I love that we split it up into two parts. We got such a variety for their Marquette Michigan engagement photos, and I can’t wait to see them again for their wedding day.
