Carlie and Jake had the most beautiful Grand Rapids wedding ceremony and Baker Lofts Holland, MI wedding reception to follow! This wedding day was full of so much love, the best energy, and the sweetest people! I first met Carlie when I was working part-time at a coffee shop and daydreaming of doing what I do now. I had quit my full time office job at 25 to pursue my dreams in photography.
Now here we are, and I had the honor of capturing her and Jake’s beautiful West Michigan wedding. This day was such a full circle moment and it was truly an honor to be their Michigan wedding photographer!
Getting Ready For Their Grand Rapids Wedding
The day started off by Carlie and Jake getting ready separately for their day. They didn’t do first looks and opted to do an aisle reveal! Carlie got ready at a separate location with her bridesmaids where they then shared a first look. Carlie also shared a sweet first look with her father on the steps of the church and Jake got ready with his groomsmen inside church before their Grand Rapids wedding ceremony.
An Indoor Grand Rapids Wedding Ceremony
Carlie and Jake had a beautiful indoor Grand Rapids wedding ceremony at the church. The room was filled with so much love and helped to create a stunning ceremony space. The gorgeous architecture, with it’s stained glass windows, lighting, and overall atmosphere was perfect. After their ceremony they did a fun wedding ceremony exit where their closest friends and family greeted them outside!
Editorial Grand Rapids Wedding Portraits Outside of The Church
After their ceremony, we then stuck around for a few minutes longer to get some editorial wedding portraits for Carlie and Jake. I loved their sophisticated and timeless look paired with the more editorial style wedding poses for their Grand Rapids wedding portraits.
Outdoor Grand Rapids Wedding Party Portraits
We then headed to a open area surrounded by trees for more portraits of Carlie and Jake along with their entire wedding party. Their wedding party was SO FUN to work with! They were great at hyping the two up and just bringing in the excitement and great vibes for the day!
Carlie + Jake’s Baker Lofts Holland, MI Wedding Reception
We then made our way to Baker Loft’s in Holland, MI for their wedding reception. This reception venue is a warehouse style event center that is full of so much charm and has an elegant urban feel to it. It has stunning exposed brick, vaulted ceilings, and a large dance floor which was perfect for Carlie and Jake’s wedding reception!
Before actually heading into the reception, Carlie and Jake decided to pop champagne with their wedding party to get the night off on the right foot! About halfway through the reception we snuck outside for more portraits of Carlie and Jake. This was such a fun wedding and I couldn’t have been any happier to have been a part of it!
