II’ve had a camera in my hand since I was a kid—starting with a pink camera from Family Dollar and a pile of Barbies willing to model for me. It’s always been about more than just taking pictures. I’ve always wanted to tell a story, to catch a moment before it disappears.
In high school, I was the one behind the camera at every event, and in college, I photographed for the student newspaper. I also fell hard for street photography—because it felt human. It taught me to slow down, to watch the world move, and to trust my instincts. There’s something sacred about clicking the shutter on a moment that already belongs to the past by the time your hand leaves the button. You see the world as it is, and also how you perceive it. That mix of honesty and perspective still drives my work today: part documentary, part editorial, all heart.
I’ve spent over a decade in the wedding world—first assisting photographers and coordinating at venues, and now five years as a full-time photographer. That experience helps me guide couples with a calming presence and timelines that leave room for what matters most—being with each other.
My sessions are about more than poses and perfect smiles. They’re about connection. We’ll talk, move, play, and co-create until the images feel not just like you—but like a version of you that feels full and alive. My job is to meet you where you are, see you clearly, and capture the love that only the two of you share.
Working with me isn’t about stiff poses or forced smiles—it’s about letting loose, being present, and watching your connection unfold in real time. From the first email to the final gallery, I’m all in—creating an experience where you can breathe, play, and just be yourselves.
Whether you’re giggling through a goofy prompt or wrapped up in a quiet moment, I’m paying attention to the stuff that matters: the way your hand finds theirs, the glances that speak volumes, the energy between you that can’t be posed.
Your gallery won’t just look like your day—it’ll feel like it. Full of movement, emotion, and those blink-and-you-miss-it moments that tell your story best. My goal? For you to see your photos and say, “That’s so us.”

"Marissa is a creative genius and endless fun. My wife and I booked her for both engagement and wedding photos and they have been and still are my absolute favorite photographs ever taken of us. She's such a calming presence, encourages authenticity, and celebrates fun and goofy. If you're looking for someone who understands photography, important events, and fun, Marissa is your gal. I could not recommend her more highly. I'd give her six stars if I could!"

"Marissa was a joy to work with from the beginning, helping me and my husband figure out our timeline and shot list. On the wedding day, she was so professional and organized, but also a lot of fun to be around — my bridesmaids were all saying they wanted to be her new best friend! She took a combination of creative and artsy photos with more traditional photos as well, which I really appreciated. She is truly talented! Our entire wedding album is beautiful and she did such a great job capturing special moments of me and my husband and our guests, as well as the general atmosphere."

"Marissa is everything you could want in a photographer and more! She shot our engagement and wedding photos and we could not have been happier. She does a phenomenal job of adapting and catering to the style of whatever couple she shoots. She did such a great job helping the day run smoothly and making sure everyone was comfortable and having fun. I’m so grateful for her talented eye and these amazing photos that we’ll have to look back on to remember our special day for the rest of our lives! If you’re looking for a photographer, congrats — you just found her!"
